Notes  Dark, robust and spicy this harmonious Syrah shows rich flavors of black current, blueberry and licorice through a savory finish.

Critical acclaim

Wine Spectator - "Firm and chewy around a glowing core of blackberry, blueberry and white pepper flavors, this medium-weight style remains focused and spicy as the finish lingers. Best from 2017 through 2021. "

Wilfred Wong of Wine.com - "How do I spin a Syrah from the Columbia Valley? Rhône Valley? North or south? Paso Robles or how about the Columbia Valley and what this region brings to the table. The 2013 L'Ecole No 41 shows excellent nuances of this sometimes confusing varietal. Ripe and almost bold, yet bringing some white pepper and savory notes to the fore, I am feeling that I should looking for the chef to bring out a savory beef stew and a few stories from the hearth, this is good stuff! Deep ruby color; big berry and some wood and spicy notes, nice synergy of elements; medium to full bodied, rounded, with good brightness; ripe berry, black earth and wood in the flavors; medium finish, active in the aftertaste.
